About softuriona

softuriona is a Fitzrovia studio built around a consultation-led workflow, controlled station hygiene, and honest planning for how a tattoo or piercing will heal in real life.

Sterile single-use setup Written aftercare included Appointment-led bookings

Why we started

softuriona opened in 2019 after we saw the same pattern repeat across studios: beautiful artwork paired with vague scheduling, unclear aftercare, and a lack of documented hygiene practice. That gap creates stress on the day and compromises long-term results—especially for fine detail, high-friction placements, and cover-ups where pigment density matters.

The studio was built to make the unglamorous parts visible: a consultation that produces a clear plan, a station reset that is repeatable, and aftercare that reads like instructions rather than folklore. The goal is calm sessions and work that settles the way it was designed.

Mission statement

Design tattoos and piercing with precision, communicate decisions before the needle touches skin, and run every session using a safety-first studio protocol—so the final result is clean on day one and consistent after healing.

  • Consultation produces a documented plan: size, placement, line weight, pacing.
  • Single-use barriers and consistent disinfection routines.
  • Aftercare guidance tailored to placement and piece style.

The team

Each artist works with a slightly different toolkit—needle groupings, line cadence, and shading approach—but the studio standards are shared. We start with stencil placement and composition checks, use controlled passes to avoid overworking the skin, and finish with written aftercare that matches the piece and placement.

Asha R. — Tattoo Artist (Fine line, Illustrative)

Asha has spent 9 years building small-to-mid scale pieces where line weight and negative space do the heavy lifting. Her sessions are measured: stencil tests, micro-adjustments, and deliberate passes that reduce blowout risk on delicate placements. Known for crisp botanical work and quiet geometry.

Portfolio focus: fine line florals, illustrative animals, micro lettering done with readability checks.

Jonah M. — Tattoo Artist (Blackwork, Cover-ups)

Jonah has 11 years of studio work with a bias toward structure: bold blacks, texture planning, and edge control that keeps older pigment from resurfacing. His cover-up consultations start with a density read—how saturated the old work is and where contrast is still available—before any redraw is proposed.

Portfolio focus: blackwork motifs, ornamental panels, art-led cover-ups that use contrast and texture.

Mina L. — Piercer (APP-style workflow)

Mina has 8 years of piercing practice and runs appointments with a checklist mentality: placement verification, jewelry fit, and an aftercare plan that matches swelling windows. Clients appreciate the clarity—what is normal in week one, what to avoid, and when to contact the studio rather than guessing.

Portfolio focus: curated ear projects, septum and nostril placement, anatomy-first jewelry selection.

How we work as a studio

A tattoo is not just an illustration; it is a sequence of decisions. Our workflow is built around checkpoints: reference review, composition draft, stencil test, and a session map that respects healing windows. For cover-ups, we treat pigment density like a material constraint and plan contrast before we touch a machine. For piercing, the decision is placement plus jewelry geometry, with cleaning cadence stated plainly.

The end result is predictable sessions. Predictability is what keeps linework consistent and what keeps aftercare from becoming guesswork.

Studio details

softuriona operates from Fitzrovia, London. If you are planning a booking, the fastest route is the consultation form on the homepage—call works well for quick availability checks. For cover-ups, include clear reference and, if possible, a photo of the existing tattoo in neutral light so we can estimate pigment density and session pacing.

What to expect from a consultation

  • A clear plan for placement, scale, and line weight.
  • A realistic session-length estimate and preparation notes.
  • Written aftercare guidance for the placement and style.
