What we do
Riko Photography Academy runs photography courses in the Netherlands that are built around real shooting conditions: tight time windows, mixed light, fast client feedback loops, and files that need to be clean on delivery day. Instead of teaching abstract “rules,” we focus on decisions that hold up under pressure—metering, lens choice, light direction, subject-to-background distance, and practical composition that works for portraits, products, and small brand campaigns.
Every course includes a methodical workflow: pre-shoot planning, a short on-set checklist, and an editing pipeline that keeps color and exposure consistent. You will practice with RAW files, learn how to troubleshoot common artifacts, and build export presets that match typical client requirements. The training also covers unglamorous details that professionals rely on—backup strategy, file naming, and a proofing approach that reduces endless “one more tweak” rounds.
Our sessions take place in Haarlem and, depending on the course, include location shooting around the Netherlands. The goal is simple: deliver images that look intentional, repeatable, and ready to use—whether the brief is a portrait set, a menu shoot, or a small product catalog.
